New York Yankees superstar Aaron Judge has been facing backlash from a play last night's 7-1 loss against the Toronto Blue Jays.

The Blue Jays had Kevin Gausman on the mound yesterday in an incredible dominant performance to take the first game of the series at Yankee stadium.

Aaron Judge facing scrutiny after soft play against the Blue Jays

The Yankee had Judge back in right field for the first time since late July yesterday due to a flexor strain issue that he has been dealing with for quite some time.
In the first inning, Judge made a questionable throw to Jazz Chisolm Jr instead of trying to go for home plate to get Daulton Varsho out which has been causing quite a bit of backlash.
Here's a look at Aaron Judge's first throw in a game since late July:
After the game, reporters question Judge on the throw to which he stated that he wouldn't be playing in the outfield if he was not able to make that throw because of his injury.
"I wouldn't be in the outfield if I wasn't able to make that throw," -Judge

Judge stated that the reason he threw it to Chisolm was because the ball died right before getting to him and he was just trying to get it back into play which is why he threw it there.

"My first thought was to get it in to Jazz (Chisholm Jr.), get it in to whoever, just for them to make that throw. Because my first thought was trying to make the play, and (the ball) just kind of died before it got to me. So, my next thought is, 'Hey, try to get it in as soon as you can and see what happens.'" -Judge

It certainly is a questionable play and his reasoning does not quite add up but the Blue Jays and there fans were happy to see the mistake made as it helped them widen the lead.
The Yankees will have Judge as their DH for this afternoon's game which makes many believe that he truly was too hurt to make the throw.
The Blue Jays take on the Yankees for game 2 at Yankee Stadium at 1:05 PM.
