Alejandro Kirk may have not gotten selected to the All-star game but in other good news, he has some of the best defensive catcher stats in the entire MLB.

In 4 of the most important statistics a catcher can be evaluated on, Kirk ranks at the very top of the league.

Kirk's AL rankings behind the plate this season:

3 Caught Stealing Above Average (T-1st)
4 Catcher Framing Runs (T-3rd)
4 Blocks Above Average (T-5th)
8 Defensive Runs Saved (T-2nd)

The only issue is that at the plate, Danny Jansen, an amazing defensive catcher in his own right, out ranks him severely offensively which means he appears in a lot more games than his counter part.

If Kirk can figure out his offensive struggles, he would be a bonified All-Star in the MLB.
