Alek Manoah has been a stud for the Toronto Blue Jays over these past few seasons, and now, it seems like he is finally close to coming back from an injury.

During spring training, Manoah found himself with some soreness and inflammation in his shoulder. According to Sportsnet reporter Ben Nicholson-Smith, good news is ahead for the 26-year-old pitcher. Alek Manoah will get to simulate three innings with Blue Jays catcher Danny Jansen on Tuesday.

"Blue Jays notes per John Schneider:
- Bo Bichette (neck) day to day
- Genesis Cabrera's appeal to occur today, but he's available tonight regardless
- Joey Votto doing defensive work but not yet swinging
- Alek Manoah has a 3-inning sim game tomorrow with Danny Jansen catching"

Manoah had a down year in 2023 with an ERA of 5.87 and a record of 3-9. In 2022, Manoah was amazing for the Jays as he went 16-7 and posted an ERA of 2.24, according to Baseball Reference.

Meanwhile, the Blue Jays are taking on the Houston Astros today. The Astros come into the game with a record of 0-4. Meanwhile, the Blue Jays sit at a record of 2-2. The oddsmakers currently have the Astros as the favorites despite their abysmal record. Bowden Francis will be getting the start for the Blue Jays.

Tonight's game has already begun and is in the opening inning. If you are in Canada, you can catch the game over on Sportsnet. Additionally, you can stay tuned to Blue Jays Insider for all of the latest news and updates from around the baseball world.
