Alex Anthopoulos and the Atlanta Braves announced that they have closed a deal with one of the Toronto Blue Jays top trade targets in Raisel Iglesias.
The Blue Jays were apparently very interested in signing Iglesias this off-season to make him their closer, moving Jeff Hoffman out of that role.

The Braves announced tonight that they closed a deal to bring Iglesias back to Atlanta after spending the last 4 years there.

Iglesias signed a one year deal with the Braves worth $16 million which is a decently cheap contract when looking at the numbers Iglesias has put up over the last couple of years.
Veteran closer Raisel Iglesias, who really bounced back down the stretch this season, is back with the Braves on a one-year, $16M deal, the team announced.
The Blue Jays were rumored to be very interested in Iglesias this off-season as part of their goal to put together a stronger bullpen for the upcoming season but it looks like they will need to look elsewhere after all.

Last season for the Braves, Iglesias finished with a solid 3.21 ERA in 67.1 innings pitched to go along with 28 saves in 70 games and a 4-6 record.
The good news is that the Blue Jays still have a lot of options when it comes to relief pitchers as the current free agent market is loaded with talented players such as Edwin Diaz, Ryan Helsley and many others.
