Atkins has decided if the Jays are going to be sellers/buyers at the dead line

As Ross Atkins is in the hot seat for his lack of moves in the offseason and during the season, he has to decide weather the Toronto Blue Jays are going to be Buyers or Sellers at this years trade deadline.

An inclination of what his decision is going to be can be based off the rumours surrounsing INF Ryan McMahon. According to MLB Networks John Morosi, the Jays are actively trying to acquire the infielder who is having a breakout season.

The Blue Jays are among the clubs with interest in Rockies INF Ryan McMahon, but a source with knowledge of the Rockies' plans says it is highly unlikely he will be available at this year's trade deadline.

McMahon, a probable All-Star selection for the last-place Rockies, is signed through 2027.

The debate is that if the Jays miss the playoffs this season, Ross Atkins time as the GM is most probably over, so his decision will most likely be to make the team buyers so he can save his seat at the head of table.
