The Toronto Blue Jays are running out of time with Vladimir Guerrero Jr with his contract extension and as the clock winds down, they will likely end up trading him if they can't get a deal done.
Guerrero is apparently looking for over $500 million now according to the latest report and with the Blue Jays still having yet to put in an offer over $400 million, the chances that they hit his new asking price are very slim.

The Blue Jays are running out of options and since it seems like they do not want to pay Guerrero, they have to look at trading him before the season starts as his value will only decrease from there.
A recent trade proposal proposed by reporter Jim Riley stated that the Mets could trade infielder Ronny Mauricio, pitcher Blake Tidwell, pitcher Tylor Megill and outfielder Drew Gilbert for Vladimir Guerrero Jr.
In a recent YouTube video evaluating hypothetical online trade proposals, content creator Jim Riley estimated what it would take for the Mets to acquire Guerrero: infielder Ronny Mauricio, pitcher Blake Tidwell, pitcher Tylor Megill, and outfielder Drew Gilbert. -Roberts
While none of these players are current MLB stars, Mauricio and Tidwell and in the Mets top 10 prospects and Megill has a ton of MLB experience with around 340 innings pitched in the majors.
Gilbert is the Mets's number-three prospect per MLB.com, with Mauricio sixth and Tidwell eighth. Megill has over 340 innings of experience at the big-league level with a 4.56 ERA over the last four seasons. -Roberts
While the Blue Jays are giving up there best player in exchange, they are getting a pretty solid return in this package as it has some solid young talent that can easily turn into good players in the future for Toronto.
If the Blue Jays do trade Guerrero, fans would love to see a superstar head back to Toronto in return but with only one year left on Guerrero's contract, the chances of that are extremely slim.
