The Toronto Blue Jays announced that they have acquired San Francisco Giants pitcher Spencer Miles.
The Blue Jays have had a busy day as they announced the signing of former Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Micahel Plassmeyer earlier this afternoon followed by this moved moments later.

The Rule 5 Draft took place this afternoon in which the Blue Jays ended up landing Miles as he was selected from the Giants .
Miles is coming back from recent Tommy John Surgery but has begun pitching again as he returned to the Arizona Fall League last months.

Blue Jays assistant GM Mike Murov had some great things to say about Miles stating that if he is able to stay consistent and control his pitches, he could be great for the Blue Jays.

The Blue Jays were actually able to end up not losing a single player at the Rule 5 Draft despite many believing that Yohendrick Pinago would get taken.
Blue Jays select right-hander Spencer Miles from Giants system in Rule 5 draft and didn't have anyone taken from their system. They had been worried that someone might select outfielder Yohendrick Pinango.
This seems to be a great move for the Blue Jays and it will be interesting to see how Miles turns out.
