Blue Jays announce starting pitcher for this afternoon vs the Royals

The Blue Jays have announced that Jose Berrios will be on the mound this afternoon as the Jays take on the Royals in the fourth game of the series.

The Royals have won the last 2 games giving the Blue Jays their first back-to-back loses since April 7th against the New York Yankees, which is also the last time they lost a series.

Berrios will be on the mound today for the Blue Jays as he looks to continue his scoreless streak which currently sits at 21.2 innings. The Puerto Rican pitcher has been on fire this year as the Blue Jays are 5-0 when he starts while he holds a 0.85 ERA, 1.01 WHIP, having given up 23 hits, 9 BB and striking out 27 batters in 31.2 innings.



The Blue Jays will be facing Cole Ragans this afternoon that has been struggling this season as the Royals are 1-4 when he starts, he also has a 1.48 WHIP and 4.32 ERA while also giving up 30 hits so far this season.

Hopefully the Blue Jays can finish off the series strong and walk away 2-2 against the Royals.
