Blue Jays announce results of Ernie Clement's CT scans
News broke that
Clement had an CT scan last night which revealed that he has a hairline fracture on his middle finger and had stitches done on his leg after it was cut open from getting spiked yesterday.
The team announced that Clement is not expected to miss any time on IL and he plans on playing through it and will be available off the bench tonight since he is not starting.
Ernie Clement got stitches in his leg after getting spiked yesterday. He has also broken a small bone in his left middle finger. He's available for today's game per John Schneider.
Ernie Clement had a CT scan of his left hand Tuesday that revealed a small hairline fracture at the bottom of his middle finger. He also received 10 stitches in his left shin after a collision at third base.
Clement is considered day-to-day; no IL stint planned as of now.
This shows truly how tough Clement is as he has decided to play through a broken finger and cut open leg.
While this shows Clement's toughness it is also a risky move for Toronto since playing through these minor injuries can make them turn into bigger ones if he is not careful.
At least for now, Clement will not be missing any time in the lineup which is a big positive for the Blue Jays.
