Blue Jays are sending millions of dollars to certain teams following deadline

According to reports, the Blue Jays are sending a bunch of money to different teams following the deadline.

The Blue Jays are sending $1.66 million to the Dodgers for taking Kiermaier, $2 million to the Mariners for taking Justin Turner and a total of $2.2 million to the Pirates for taking Isiah Kiner-Falefa.

This is surprising news since the Blue Jays need to be saving money and paying teams to take on expiring contracts seems like an odd move. Most fans are surprised that Kiner-Falefa was involved in this since he is a great acquisition for the Pirates.
