Blue Jays catcher Alejandro Kirk get major disrespect in latest MLB ranking
Toronto Blue Jays catcher Alejandro Kirk is coming off a career year and he has now be once again disrespected in the latest catcher rankings.
Despite having better numbers across the board, Detroit Tigers catcher Dillon Dingler ended up winning the AL Gold Glove award at the catcher position.
Alejandro Kirk ranked 4th in latest MLB catcher rankings headed into 2026
For some reason, Kirk continues to get little recognition as one of if not the best catcher in the MLB especially defensively after the 2025 season he had, helping the Blue Jays make it to the World Series.
In a recent ranking of the top 10 catchers in the MLB, Kirk was ranked fourth, behind Cal Raleigh, Will Smith and Shea Langeliers.

While some could argue that Raleigh is number one after historic season he put up in 2025 with a total of 60 home runs and 125 RBIs, Kirk should certainly be in second behind him.
While fourth is not bad out of the entire league, Kirk has proven quite a bit over the last two years to the point where many would see that ranking as disrespect.
Blue Jays fans were not too happy with the ranking as they believe that Kirk clearly proved in the World Series that he is a better catcher than Smith.

However, Kirk received a ranking above Dingler, who ended up winning the AL Gold Glove over him which proves once again that Kirk should have won it.
Hopefully in 2026, Kirk will start getting the recognition he deserves.
