Blue Jays fans not happy with the team going after Pete Fairbanks

MLB insider Ken Rosenthal recently stated that the Blue Jays along with the Marlins are interested in Fairbanks and could end up closing on him soon.

Since the news broke on the Blue Jays and Fairbanks, fans have not been happy about it, vocalizing that their are some big concerns with him and other players that Toronto is looking at.

I do not want Pete Fairbanks or Cody Bellinger on the Toronto Blue Jays and if they do end up signing here it'll take a while for me to be talked into it

Fans have pointed out that despite having a solid ERA which was at 2.83 last season, the rest of his numbers across the board are not exactly stellar.

I truly don't understand the Fairbanks hype. As a senior analyst at sandman enterprises I have done plenty of scouting and film review on him and I don't get it. Here is Fairbanks compared to Caleb thielbar in 2025

If the Blue Jays do end up signing Fairbanks, some fans might be upset but it is hard to avoid the fact that he will surely improve their bullpen depth going into 2026.
