The Toronto Blue Jays have begun the ALDS with an explosive start, taking a 2-0 series lead in dominant fashion, the series now flips to New York, and while it will be a hostile crowd for game 3, several diehard fans will be making the trip to support the team.

This buzz around the Blue Jays goes hand in hand with the surging ticket prices for the ALDS this year.

Diehard fans are making the trip to New York to support the Blue Jays for game 3.

Rianna Lim of Yahoo Sports reported on the commitment some fans are making for the Blue Jays ahead of game 3, one of them in particular named Ryan May.
""We're prepping for chaos and also incredible levels of excitement because it's the first time we've ever played the Yankees in the post-season."-May

"He and some fellow fans plan to drive all night from Toronto to New York City in time for Game 3 on Tuesday, not only so they can connect with other Jays fans but also to make sure the team feels supported on the road, he said."-Lim

The Blue Jays exploded offensively against the New York Yankees in the first two games of the ALDS. Winning game 10-1 and game 13-7, with Trey Yesavage making franchise history striking out 11 batters, and throwing 6 no hit innings. The crowds for both games were electric and it explains why the Blue Jays have been so good at home all season long.
However getting to the game was made much more difficult by the Yankees, as not everyone can buy tickets.
"But buying tickets for the matchup in New York City hasn't been easy for some Jays fans. Canadian fans have been unable to purchase tickets for potential Blue Jays ALDS games in New York, with the Yankees barring fans outside of New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Pennsylvania from getting seats."-Lim

Fans from outside those states will have to buy tickets on third party sites, which if you're making the trip down to New York, putting the extra effort in to get tickets isn't out of the ordinary.
