Postseason baseball is finally upon the city of Toronto, and the Blue Jays are hosting the New York Yankees for the first two games of the ALDS, these two games saw ticket prices soar while the tickets in New York are actually going down.
The ticket prices seem to be worth it as the Blue Jays dominated game 1 against the Yankees.
Toronto Blue Jays playoff tickets at an all time high for ALDS.
Colton Pankiw of the Daily Hive, reported on the ticket prices going into games 1 and 2 for the Blue Jays and it clearly indicates how sought after they are in Toronto.
"The cheapest available tickets on Ticketmaster are priced at $262.99 in the 500 level, while several others in the upper deck are priced above $320. There are several in the lower bowl going for more than $2,000."-Pankiw
In contrast to the New York Yankees tickets, which are at a much lower price. Not only that, but they are also many more tickets available.
"What makes this all the more interesting is that there are plenty of tickets still available at Yankee Stadium. By comparison, they are extremely affordable too, with the cheapest tickets for Game 3 currently available for just C$117. Part of the slow-selling tickets could be due to the fact that they aren't allowing Canadians to purchase tickets."-Pankiw
If there is a game 5 the tickets get even more outrageous, they begin at $368.88, with the lower bowl exceeding $3000. It clearly shows how excited the overall fanbase is for the team, as their roster is clearly built to go the distance and everyone feels it too.
