Blue Jays Vladimir Guerrero Jr makes MLB history in the first inning of the ALDS
The Toronto Blue Jays are currently playing the New York Yankees in game 1 of the ALDS and in the 1st inning of the game Vladimir Guerrero Jr made MLB history.
Heading into the playoffs, fans were worried about Guerrero as he was struggling in the last few weeks of the season but he has come out of the gate quite strong in game 1.

In the bottom of the first inning against the Yankees, Guerrero gave the Blue Jays a 1-0 lead with his first career post-season homerun that went 367 feet.

With this homerun, Guerrero and his father are now the 6th father-son duo in MLB history to hit a post-season homerun.

Before the game, manager John Schneider stated that Guerrero worked a lot on his hitting mechanics during the Blue Jays bye week which seems to be paying off as he is currently 2 for 2 in the bottom of the 4th inning.
Earlier today, John Schneider said Vlad Guerrero Jr. worked through some mechanical adjustments during the Blue Jays' bye week. Hearing Guerrero Jr. articulate his intention gave Schneider confidence - & the early results are good, with Guerrero Jr.'s first career post-season HR.
There is still more than half the game left but the Blue Jays look great so far as Kevin Gausman has yet to allow a single run.
