Wednesday night proved to be yet another horrible outing for the Toronto Blue Jays as they couldn't manage a single point in an 8-0 loss to the Houston Astros.

A few nights ago, the Blue Jays were shut out by a Ronel Blanco no-hitter. It was yet another example of how the Blue Jays bats are struggling to produce. On Tuesday, however, they won thanks to a Davis Schneider home run in the ninth inning. Despite this, he was taken out of the lineup against the Astros on Wednesday night. This proved to be a mistake, as they were absolutely demolished.

According to the official Major League Baseball highlights, the Blue Jays lost as Jose Altuve, Yordan Alvarez, and Jeremy Pena all managed home runs. Not to mention, Chris Bassitt had a rough outing as he gave up four runs in just over four innings of playing time.

As per MLB.com, the only Blue Jays player to actually get a hit was Daulton Varsho. The offensive production has been non-existent, and it has many worried that this Blue Jays season is destined for failure.

After this loss, the Blue Jays will finally be getting a day off. Next up, they head over to New York where they will be taking on the Yankees in a three-game series that begins on Friday. After this series, they will finally get to play their home opener on April 8th, against the Seattle Mariners.
