Blue Jays have announced two roster transactions

The Blue Jays announced two roster transactions last night which involved relievers Chad Green and Erik Swanson.

The team has activated reliever Green off of the 15-day IL list as he makes he has made his way back from a major muscle strain.

As Green has been activated, they have decided to send Swanson down to Triple-A.

ROSTER MOVES:

🔹 RHP Chad Green has been reinstated from the 15-day IL and will be active tonight

🔹 RHP Erik Swanson optioned to Triple-A

Green pitched in his first game last night since being injured, giving up 1 hit with 0 strikeouts in his only inning pitched.

Swanson being optioned to Triple-a comes as no surprise since he currently has a 9.22 ERA on the season in 13.2 innings pitched.
