The Toronto Blue Jays are heading into the Winter Meetings as some expect that they could look at spending over $600 million on free agents.

There has been rumors that the Blue Jays will have to pick between Kyle Tucker and Bo Bichette this off-season but other believes there is a chance to land both.

Blue Jays could spend over $600 million on Kyle Tucker and Bo Bichette

The Blue Jays have tried to land big free agents over the last two years with contract worth over $600 million which is why bringing in both Tucker and Bichette this off-season is possible.
MLB insider Jon Heyman stated that due to these prior offers, there is a chance that the Blue Jays could make substantial offers to both players.
To me, that is the team for him, as well,» Heyman said on Bleacher Report on Thursday. «Could they do both? They tried for Ohtani, they tried for Soto, and they offered $600 million plus for Soto. -Heyman

If the Blue Jays make an offer to Tucker, it will likely be above $400 million since that is what he is looking for while Bichette is projected to land somewhere around $200 million which means Toronto could end up above $600 million.
Bichette and Tucker, I don't know if they will add up to $600 million between them; I doubt it. Possible. If Tucker gets over $400 million and Bichette gets close to $200 million, there is the $600 million that was going to Soto. They were willing to do Soto and Vlad Guerrero Jr. -Heyman

The only problem with this is that despite the Blue Jays making offers to Soto and Ohtani for more than this, since then they have signed Vladimir Guerrero Jr to a $500 million deal and Dylan Cease to a $210 million deal.
There is certainly still a chance that Ross Atkins decides to just make the offers anyway and raise the Blue Jays payroll by hundreds of millions going into next season but this latest contracts certainly do cause some problems.
If the Blue Jays land both Tucker and Bichette, they will certainly enter the 2026 season as the favorites to win the World Series.
