Blue Jays make announcement concerning Brian Serven after being DFA'd

The Blue Jays announced earlier in the week that catcher Brian Serven had been DFA'd because they picked up Tyler Heineman off waivers.
Serven has now officially cleared waivers and has been sent outright to Triple-A where he will remain until the end of the season.

The Blue Jays catcher has been on the 40 man roster since Spring Training but it looks like they now have a change of plans for him and do not see him in their future after a season of struggles at the plate.
