The Toronto Blue Jays will be playing their biggest in 30 years tonight when they play the Seattle Mariners in game 7 of the ALCS, Shane Bieber was named starting pitcher for the Blue Jays, and it will be known if the biggest trade deadline acquisition of this season is ready for the challenge.
Shane Bieber ready for biggest game of his career with the Blue Jays.
Bieber has had ups and downs since joining the Blue Jays, but the veteran understands he just needs to play his game out there tonight.
""I feel like I have numerous ways to attack guys and to get guys out. As long as I go out there and execute, I think I'll put the team in a good position."-Bieber
Coincidently the Guardians were in game 7 last year and Bieber couldn't be apart since he was out for the season from Tommy John Surgery.
It has been a full circle moment leading up to this game for him, and he doesn't want to waste it.
"The Blue Jays activated him from the injured list on Aug. 22, striking out nine and earning the win as Toronto beat the Miami Marlins 5-2. Since then, the two-time all-star and the 2020 AL Cy Young Award winner has been called on in some of the Blue Jays' biggest games of the year."-Sportsnet
The Toronto Blue Jays have an opportunity to do something they haven't done in 30 years, make the World Series.
Playing game 7 behind arguably the best crowd of the postseason this year, they have every advantage going for them, Bieber and the team cannot let this chance go to waste.
