The Toronto Blue Jays need to worry about more than just their starting rotation as their bullpen is just as important, in a perfect world the Blue Jays would have: Louis Varland, Eric Lauer, Mason Fluharty, Yariel Rodriguez, Jeff Hoffman and would look to add Edwin Diaz and Devin Williams.

Pitching was the one thing that separated the Los Angeles Dodgers from the Blue Jays in the World Series, and the Blue Jays can't make the same mistake twice.

Blue Jays bullpen needs to be solid in 2026.

Edward Eng of Jays Journal reported on the ideal lineup the Blue Jays should have in their bullpen for next season.
The Blue Jays had a bullpen just good enough to get them by but next season it needs to improve if they want to win the World Series this time around.
"It just so happens that the free agent market this offseason consists of many elite, high-leverage arms that Toronto can aggressively pursue to bolster their roster for 2026. As a result, what would a potential dream Blue Jays bullpen for the upcoming season look like."-Eng

Rather than focusing the players returning, the attention will be turned to Diaz and Williams, who if acquired would be huge for the Blue Jays.
Williams did not have the most impressive 2025 campaign with the New York Yankees. But when he was moved out of the closer role he performed at a high level and could bring that to Toronto.
The biggest acquisition however would be Diaz, who would by the dream closer for the Blue Jays.
" Edwin Diaz. In 2025, Diaz posted a 6-3 record with 28 saves, a 1.63 ERA, 0.87 WHIP, along with 98 strikeouts 66.1 innings pitched over 62 relief appearances with the Mets. More importantly, he only gave up four home runs all season. With the Blue Jays looking for more consistency from their closer, Diaz perfectly fits the bill and could stabilize the back end of their bullpen."-Eng

Hoffman struggled as their closer and it showed mostly in game 7 of the World Series, if Diaz had been their it could have been a completely different ball game.
