Canadian Baseball legend Justin Morneau sat down with Sportsnet to discuss the Toronto Blue Jays and World Junior Hockey Championship.

While Morneau never played for the Blue Jays, the B.C Native is clearly a big fan on the only Canadian team in the MLB.

Justin Morneau speaks on the magic of the Blue Jays

During the interview, Morneau spoke about the Blue Jays back to back World Series and how much it meant to young Canadian baseball players just like himself.
"Any time the Blue Jays are good, it's good for baseball in Canada," Morneau said Monday after watching Team Canada's morning skate at the world junior hockey championship. "There was a wave of players - it was Jason Bay, it was Jeff Francis, it was a ton of guys right around our age - that watched the Blue Jays win the World Series, and then believed in ourselves that we could be there."- Justin Morneau

Morneau added that the run the Blue Jays made this year was incredible and special to see an entire country come behind a team to cheer them on which he believes will play a big part for young baseball players.
"When you see an entire country come together to unite and cheer for something, it really is something special," Morneau said. "Hopefully, we see that on the baseball side come out in 10, 12 years and have an influence on a lot of young kids choosing that path." -Morneau

At the end of the interview, Morneau spoke about the World Junior tournament going on and reminisced how he used to stay up late as a kid to watch the game overseas.
"We used to get together when the tournaments were overseas and watch them at 3 a.m. on the West Coast," -Morneau

Clearly the Canadian legend has some high praises for the Blue Jays and would have probably loved to play for them throughout his career.
