Before coming over to the Blue Jays, pitcher Chris Bassitt had a short stint with the Mets in 2022 where he played along side Pete Alonso.

Last night Bassitt faced his former team and during the game, he accidently hit Alonso with a pitch that had the Mets player pretending to rush the mound as everyone involved laughed at the mistake.

Pete Alonso hit by former teammate Chris Bassitt.

Bassitt had a great game against his former team pitching for 6 innings, giving up 5 hits and 1 earned run.
