Complete chaos during a game as batter attacks catcher with his bat

A clip has gone viral last night from a Venezuelan league game as a batter is seen attacking the catcher with his bat.

The batter is hit by a pitch which prompts him to attack the catcher with his bat and starts a full on brawl.

NEVER in my life have I seen a brawl like this

Thankfully the catcher was not badly injured but the situation could have gone a lot worse if the catcher was struck in the head.

Should the police have gotten involved?
