Contract extension offer for Toronto Blue Jays shortstop Bo Bichette announced
The Toronto Blue Jays still seem undecided on whether or not they will keep Bo Bichette around but a recent report spoke of a contract extension over $100 million.
The latest report on the situation is that the Blue Jays have yet to begin negotiating with Bichette on a potential contract extension but with how he has been playing, they will surely start soon.

Bichette is having an incredible bounce back season in 2025 as he has been one of Toronto's best hitter and most valuable players as they continue to dominate the AL East.
According to a recent report, the Blue Jays would be looking at a seven year deal worth $147 million which would pay Bichette an average salary of $21 million per season which would certainly be an incredible price.
Spotrac lists Bichette's market value at $147 million over seven years, so paying him will be a steep price. There is a chance, no matter what happens this October, Bichette will leave Toronto just due to getting a huge payday elsewhere.
While Bichette is expected to be worth around $150 million as of right now, if he continues to play this well there is a chance that his value goes up.
If the Blue Jays do not raise their offer to meet Bichette's present value he will likely be tempted to test the free agent market where he will probably get quite the payday after the season he is having.
The good news is that Bichette has said on multiple occasions that he wants to stay in Toronto to the point where it almost seems like it might be the team that is questioning if they want to keep him.
Letting Bichette go in free agency would clearly be a mistake for Toronto who has had a tough time convincing big time free agents to sign and if the want to replace Bichette, it will certainly take a big time player.
Despite recent reports, it does not look like this situation will be solved anytime soon unfortunately.
