Blue Jays announce why Daulton Varsho is out of the lineup
The Blue Jays announced their lineup for this afternoon's game against the Rockies to which many noticed that Varsho was missing only two games after coming back from injury which had fans worried.
CBS Sports reported that the team announced that Varsho is sitting out this game since they have already won the series and since he just recently returned from injury, they don't have to overdue it.
Varsho has gone 5-for-10 with three home runs in the first two games of the series, but he just returned from the injured list a few days ago, so the Blue Jays don't want to overdo it with him. Myles Straw is getting a turn in center field and will bat ninth Wednesday.
This is great news since Varsho has been on fire since returning from injury as he has three homeruns in his last two games including 5 hits and a phenomenal 10 RBIs.
While Varsho has been incredible since coming back, the Blue Jays have outscored the Rockies 25-5 in the first two games of the series so they shouldn't have a problem without Varsho to close things out today.
The Blue Jays look to complete the sweep against the Rockies this afternoon at 3:40 PM with Kevin Gausman on the mound.
