Davis Schneider propels Blue Jays to victory with clutch home run

Davis Schneider is a fan-favorite within the Toronto Blue Jays organization, and on Tuesday night, he hit a massive home run to propel the team to a 2-1 win against the Houston Astros.

It was not an easy night for the Blue Jays. According to Fox, the Blue Jays gave up a home run to Jose Altuve in the fourth inning, and couldn't get anything on the board. It was yet another example of this Blue Jays team slacking on offense. Fans were losing hope, and the game seemed to be lost.

However, like an angel descending from heaven, Schneider came through and answered the team's prayers. The second-year star hit a home run in the top of the ninth inning with Daulton Varsho on base. This gave the Blue Jays a 2-1 lead that they would not relinquish. As per Baseball Reference, this was Davis Schneider's second home run of the season.





The Blue Jays certainly needed this win. Last night, the Jays lost to the Astros by a score of 10-0. It as a terrible loss for the team, and fans were angered by the lack of offense. Ronel Blanco threw a no-hitter, and it proved to be an embarrassment for the team.
