Ernie Clement receives huge honour for his efforts with the Blue Jays

The Toronto Blue Jays had a terrific World Series run this season, and despite not defeating the Los Angeles Dodgers, they are experiencing a lot of the perks of making it to game 7 of the series, and for Ernie Clement he received the keys to Monroe County in New York, his hometown.
Clement had a terrific regular season, and an even better postseason breaking a record for the most hits in a playoff campaign.

The Sportsnet staff reported on the honour given to Clement for his record breaking performance. Furthermore November 29th will now be "Ernie Clement Day" in Monroe.
"The Brighton, N.Y., native served as one of Toronto's most productive players last season, as he hit .277 with nine home runs in 157 regular-season games. He also led off all of baseball with 22 defensive runs saved, spending time at all four infield positions."-Sportsnet
Monroe County is the largest city in Rochester, Clement is scheduled to return to the Blue Jays in 2026, the Blue Jays tendered Clement's contract, and they have until January 9th to come to terms on a deal to avoid arbitration.

Clement will be a key piece to the Blue Jays next season, especially with the potential departure of Bo Bichette, Clement's defensive skills in the infield will be needed, to continue the terrific defence the Blue Jays had in the regular season, and in the postseason.
