Former Blue Jays player stirs controversy for his harsh remarks about the team
The Toronto Blue Jays and GM Ross Atkins had a very busy trade deadline making some great moves but former player Kevin Barker does not seem to agree that they did a good job.
The Blue Jays acquired basically everything they needed at the deadline apart from a solid right handed hitter but they certainly improved their bullpen with Louis Varland and Seranthony Dominguez.

Barker did not seem to agree with the moves made over the last few days stating that the Blue Jays are not a better team after their trade deadline acquisitions.
Blue Jays fans were quick to jump all over him online stating that Barker is clearly wrong then adding that him and Jeff Blair are constantly making comments on the Blue Jays that make no sense.
how can someone whose entire job is to know ball just simply not know ball
How can Barker say this with a straight face? The team is undeniably better. If Bieber is the ace he was, its significantly better
The good news is that even if Barker truly believes this, the Blue Jays were the best team in the American League prior to the trade deadline which means even after it, they are still a great baseball team.
However, despite these comments, the majority of the fan base is very happy with the moves Atkins pulled off over the last few days.
