The Toronto Blue Jays had agreed to a new deal with former New York Yankees outfielder Ismael Munguia.
The Blue Jays have had a busy last couple of days as they signed both Nic Enright and Josh Winckowski to two year minor league deals yesterday.

The Blue Jays were recently reported to be closing a deal with Munguia a couple weeks ago but there was no confirmation of the deal by the player or the team.
According to Yusseff Diaz, the Nicaraguan 🇳🇮 gardener and Estrellas Orientales' Ismael Munguia will sign a Minor Leagues contract with the Toronto Blue Jays.
Since 2015, Munguia began his professional journey. In 2024, he was in AAA with the Yankees; he lit up Spring Training but still hasn't made his MLB debut.
Hopefully, this new opportunity will give him the long-awaited dream of donning a Major Leagues uniform.

Then, Munguia commented on the matter during a recent interview, admitting that he has agreed to a minor league deal with the Blue Jays for the 2026 season.

This seems to be a solid move by the Blue Jays to once again add to their farm system with a solid young outfielder who had 4 home runs and 31 RBIs in 91 games in Triple-A last season.
As the Blue Jays continue to close minor league deals, the fans are waiting to hear some big breaking news on a couple major signings.
