Twins hire former Blue Jays coach Blake Shelton as their new manager

Shelton spent the last 5 years with the Pittsburgh Pirates before being fired this past May after the Pirates got off to a rough start this season with a 12-26 record.
The Twins did not let Shelton sit on the open market too long as they announced ahead of game 5 of the World Series that they have hired Shelton as their new manager.

Some fans have pointed out how this move for Shelton is a bit funny since both the Twins and Pirates are small markets that has struggled quite a bit over the last few seasons.

Two small market teams that hate spending and rather gut their roster when there's some talent instead of investing all in

Have fun!
Shelton only spent one year with the Blue Jays which came in 2017 before he decided to leave and accept a job as a coach for the Minnesota Twins for a couple season.
Should be interesting to see if Shelton will be able to turn things around in Minnesota.
