Boyd had an incredible 2025 season for the Chicago Cubs in which he finished with a 3.21 ERA in 179.2 innings pitched, along with a 14-8 record and 154 strike outs which resulted in him being voted an all-star.

The Blue Jays actually drafted Boyd back in 2013 and he would end up cracking the lineup in 2015 but only last 6.2 innings after a couple rough games which led the them trading him to the Detroit Tigers as part of the David Price deal.
Since being traded, Boyd has turned into quite the pitcher despite dealing with a lot of injury problems prior to this past season.
It will be interesting to see who else joins Boyd on team USA for the World Baseball Classic.
