Former Blue Jays pitcher having a tough time in free agency
After the Blue Jays released Green since he was not claimed off waivers by another team, many expected someone to sign
Green to minor league deal at the very least due to his MLB experience but that has not happened yet.
A few days have now gone by and no team has yet to make a move on Green, which it's no getting to the point where he might stay a free agent until the end of the season.
Chad Green still on the market
Some Blue Jays fans online had some jokes on Green recently as the Blue Jays dominated the Colorado Rockies stating that if they still had Green in the bullpen, he would have surely made those games a lot more interesting due to his rough ERA.
I miss Chad green. He could've made this game interesting
Without Chad Green here to intentionally throw the game I'm gonna go with yeah
Green has had a terrible 2025 season putting up a 5.56 ERA with 1 save in 43.2 inning pitched for Toronto but many thought he would get signed because he has had some dominant years in the past.
Apart from 2023 in which Green only pitched 12 innings, between 2017 and 2024 he only had an ERA above 4.00 once which only includes 2017 when he finished with a 1.83 ERA and 2018 when he had a 2.50 ERA with the Yankees.
While there is still a lot of baseball to be played before the end of the season, it certainly is strange that no team has made Green an offer yet.
