Former Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Richard Lovelady looks like he is a free agent once again after being released by Minnesota Twins.
Lovelady was acquired by the Blue Jays in free agency as they signed him to a minor league deal but did not last long as they decided to released him within the first few weeks of the season.
The Twins release Richard Lovelady back into free agency
The Twins agreed to a minor league contract in April with the Twins and was assigned to their Triple-A affiliate, the St-Paul Saint where he has been dominating ever since.
The Twins announced yesterday that they decided to release Lovelady from his contract after he wanted to opt-out, re-enter free agency and look for a new contract that would possibility give him another chance at the MLB.

Lovelady actually put up some incredible numbers in Triple-A for the Saints over the last two month as he had a 1.31 ERA and 22 strikeouts in 20.2 innings pitched.
Richard Lovelady is opting out of his contract with the Minnesota Twins and is now a free agent. He posted a 1.31 ERA and 22 strikeouts in 20.2 innings in Triple-A.
The former Blue Jays pitcher will certainly be able to find himself a new deal with the numbers he has been putting up and hopefully with a team that will give him another chance in the MLB.
