Former Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Derek Law got some brutal news recently as he is done for the season with the Washington Nationals as he needs season ending surgery.
The Blue Jays recently got some issues of their own when it comes to season ending surgery as the team announced a few days ago that Ryan Burr is done for the season to surgery as well.

Law is coming off an incredible 2024 season with the Nationals where he finished with a remarkable 2.60 ERA in 90 innings pitched but has yet to pitch this season due to an injury.
After months of trying to recover without surgery, the former Blue Jays pitcher has now admitted defeat and will have flexor tendon surgery which will put an end to his season.
After four months spent hoping he could get his arm ready to pitch for the Nationals this season, Derek Law finally got the news he dreaded this week.

Derek Law has a partial tear of his flexor tendon and will undergo surgery to repair it, and that officially ends his career with the Washington Nationals as he will become a free agent after the season without throwing a pitch this year.
Law only spent one season with the Toronto Blue Jays back in 2019 as he was part of the deal that sent Kevin Pillar to the San Francisco Giants and that year he finished with a 4.90 ERA in 60.2 innings pitched.
This is proof that the Blue Jays are far from the only team in the league dealing with some unfortunate injury issues when it comes to their pitchers.
