Former Toronto Blue Jays all-star Matt Chapman has been having an extremely difficult season and is now headed back on IL which has fans quite upset.
Chapman recently signed a contract extension with the San Francisco Giants for $151 million over 6 years with an average salary of $25.16 million per season.

The Giants have been struggling lately as they continue to fall in the standings but Chapman recently stated that he is not worried since there is still a lot of baseball left which sparked some serious backlash among fans.
Despite losing 14 of the last 15 home games for the first time since 1901, Matt Chapman still believes this team can do something special.

Giants fans were not happy with these comments from Chapman as he has been playing very poorly lately and they expect more from their all-star third baseman.

Fans like Chapman but tonight's game is a perfect example why this team will be lucky to win 70 games. Bases loaded bottom of the 8th st home and 3 batters can't even hit the ball out of the infield.

Chapman has had a tough season all around but in his last 30 games things have gotten even worse as he has a .196 batting average, .278 on base percentage with 4 homeruns and 14 RBIs.
On top of that, the Giants announced that they have now placed Chapman on 10 day IL with right hand inflammation.
