Former Toronto Blue Jays starting pitcher signs with the Kansas City Royals
Former Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Spencer Turnbull has landed himself a new contract with the Kansas City Royals as he has agreed to a new deal.
The Cubs announced a few days ago that they cut ties with Turnbull as they released him back into free agency after a tough couple of outings in Chicago.

Thee Royals just announced that they have agreed to terms on a minor league deal with Turnbull which will not be his third team of the season.

The Royals announced that Turnbull has been assigned to Omaha in Triple-A to begin his time within the organization while they have placed pitcher Jacob Wallace on IL.

Turnbull's numbers at the major league level has not been great this season as he has a 7.11 ERA with a 1-1 record which all came with the Blue Jays as he was never called up while playing for Chicago.
While Turnbull has had a very tough time this season after coming back from injury, just last season he finished with a 2.65 ERA in 54.1 innings pitched for the Philadelphia Phillies which is why so many teams are still giving him a chance.
