The Blue Jays and Pirates have been linked to each other quite a bit lately especially surrounding pitcher Mitch Keller who seems to be one of their top trade deadline targets as of right now.

The Pirates are among the worst teams in the league once again which is why their are looking to trade away many pieces at the trade deadline to hopefully start to turn things around in the near future.
According to reports, the Blue Jays and Pirates recently had some discussions regarding Keller but surprisingly also spoke of O'Neil Cruz who Pittsburgh does not plan on trading but it looks like there could be a deal made for the right offer.

If Ross Atkins is able to add both of these players, this would turn Toronto into a juggernaut, as they would be adding two all-stars to their lineup and both players are exactly what they are looking for.
Keller is the more realistic trade possibility as the Pirates have been actively shopping him and many believe he would be the perfect fit for Toronto as he is a great starting pitcher and is still young unlike the rest of their rotation.
When it comes to Cruz, this would truly be a game changing trade for Toronto as he is exactly what they need it terms of a right handed hitter than delivers as he has 16 homeruns and 39 RBIs with 30 stolen bases on the season.
Even though Cruz is a bigger stretch, anything could happen at the deadline for the right price and it looks like Atkins is wasting no time as he has already started making calls.
