The Toronto Blue Jays had a tough loss last night as they blew a lead late in the game but the real worries were with Alejandro Kirk and Ernie Clement who were both playing injured.

The Blue Jays have been dealing with a ton of injuries this season and things have not gotten much better as it was announced yesterday that Yimi Garcia might need season ending surgery.

Injury update on Alejandro Kirk and Ernie Clement

The Blue Jays had a tough loss against the Twins last night as they blew a lead late in the game which resulted in a 7-5 loss which both Kirk and Clement seemed to be dealing with injuries.
According to reports, Clement hurt his hand when Twins Matt Wallner collided with him at third base during the game but it looks like apart from a cut, he should not miss any playing time.
There seems to be a few extra legs as the Twins Matt Wallner collides with the Jays Ernie clement at third. Jays lost 7-5 to Twins.
When it comes to Kirk, many noticed that his hand was very swollen but apart from speculation regarding him being stung by a wasp, no one is sure how it happened.
Alejandro Kirk's right hand is so swollen it looks like it was stung by a wasp.

And then there's Ernie Clement pulling down his sleeve to cover up his left hand.

Obviously not ideal there... #BlueJays
After the game, manager John Schneider spoke to reporters and gave no information on either player which is likely good news as it would have been mentioned if either player had a serious injury.
While both players might get the day off to rest, it looks like the injuries are not serious at least for right now.
