Isiah Kiner-Falefa expected to sign with the Rangers
The Blue Jays claimed Kiner-Falefa off waivers from the Pittsburgh Pirates at the end of August and ended using him quite a bit once Bo Bichette went down with an injury at the end of the season.
Kiner-Falefa ended up playing 31 games this season for Toronto where he hit 1 home run and 5 RBIs to go along with a .233 batting average and .258 on base percentage.
"Texas Rangers. Kiner-Falefa was originally drafted by the Rangers in 2013 and spent his first four big league seasons there. The Rangers, having already traded second baseman Marcus Semien this offseason, and could use a cost-effective veteran at that spot in 2026." -Matthew Sookram
The Rangers actually drafted Kiner-Falefa back in 2013 and he played there from 2018 to 2021 before being traded at the start of the 2022 season to the New York Yankees.
Texas could be the perfect place for Kiner-Falefa to try and find a permanent spot in the lineup once again as they are in need of infielders.
While Blue Jays fans are not too fond of him right now, they will certainly hope to see him back as a full time player in the MLB.
