Kevin Kiermaier shocks Blue Jays fans in unexpected new coaching role

Kiermaier announced in the off-season that he would be returning to the Blue Jays organization as a special assistant and it looks like he is finally taking on new responsibilities with this coaching role.

Despite only spending the last two years of his career with the Blue Jays, Kiermaier clearly loved his time in Toronto as he stated as soon as he retired that he would like to return with the Blue Jays as a coach.

Kiermaier has enjoyed some of his time off in retirement but it looks like he is finally taking on his coaching role with the Blue Jays as he has been spotted with the Vancouver Canadians over the last few days as their first base coach.

This is the first appearance Kiermaier has made as a coach for the Blue Jays organization since helping out with outfielder during Spring Training back in March.

Fans are curious to see if Kiermaier will continue to progress through the ranks as a coach in the Blue Jays organization and if they will soon one day see him back in Toronto's dugout.

After a legendary career as one of the best outfielders during his era, Kiermaier clearly has a lot of knowledge that he can bring to the table as a coach.
