While Yates had a bit of a down year with the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2025 as he finished with a 5.23 ERA in 50 games with 41.1 innings pitched and 52 strikeouts, he is only 1 year removed from a great 2024 campaign.
In 2024, Yates finished with an outstanding 1.17 ERA for the Texas Rangers in 61 games with a 7-2 record and 33 saves on the season.
Veteran RHP Kirby Yates is headed to LAA. Struggled in 2025 with LAD but in 2024 posted a 1.17 ERA across 61.2 IP. Still had whiff and K numbers last year. Just a two pitch guy with a high whiff FB and depthy high whiff SPL

35% Whiff%
While never actually played a game for the Blue Jays since he went down with a season ending injury before the 2021 season started, he was still a member of the organization for one year.
