The Toronto Blue Jays have expressed the interest in moving Vladimir Guerrero Jr. to 3rd base permanent as it can open up more possibilities for young prospects to make it up to the majors or even to sign a star first baseman in the offseason.
Giving Vladdy a more permanent look at third base could open a whole slew of possibilities for next season. Given how he's looked in action this year, the #BlueJays should consider giving it a whirl.
It seemed that the Jays originally moved Vladdy back to 3rd in order to increase his trade value, but since turning around his season and the rumors being shut down, he still has made some appearances at the hot corner, 8 to be exact.
This offseason will be a hot one for free agent first basemen as Pete Alonso, Paul Goldschmidt, Rhys Hoskins, Carlos Santana and Christian Walker are some of the major stars that will be looking for a contract. Moving Vlad could be a big play to bolster their lineup in a big way as these players now become true viable options.
Do you think the Jays should move Vlad to 3rd permanently?
