Blue Jays manager John Schneider is not happy with the team unable to sign Vladimir Guerrero Jr
The Blue Jays entire organization seems to be in panic mode as of right now since their star player is now headed from free agency next off-season and their is a good chance he signs elsewhere.
Manager John Schneider told the media that he is extremely disappointed that a deal was unable to get done and that the team will try to focus on the season ahead instead of harping on this.
John Schneider is disappointed with the Vladdy outcome, too, but says the team would be doing itself a disservice to look beyond tomorrow and the 2025 season.
He praised Guerrero for «growing up a lot» in the last 12 months and embracing his role as the leader of the #BlueJays
Clearly
Schneider is not happy with management after this move as is the rest of the organization but he cannot publicly throw the front office under the bus since he might be out of a job if he does that.
At this point it seems clear that the Blue Jays need to get rid of Mark Shapiro and Atkins as they cannot get the job done is all aspects of the game when looking at how the past two years have gone.
These two have had access to all the money to spend on the top free agents but have failed to land any of them, have failed to put together a team that can actually go deep into the playoffs and now have let there franchise player walk into free agency.
It seems clear that they need to go but unfortunately it is not the first time that many believe they should be fire and nothing ends up being done, hopefully this time is different.
