After the Toronto Blue Jays win over the Detroit Tigers last night, pitcher Eric Lauer who currently has a busted lip stated that teammate Max Scherzer is the one who hit him.
The Blue Jays continue their winning streak at home last night against the red hot Detroit Tigers and put on quite the show as they beat the Tigers by a convincing score of 11-1 with Eric Lauer on the mound.
Looks like Max Scherzer might have punched Eric Lauer in the face
Lauerwas on fire for the Blue Jays yesterday as he pitched 8 innings, giving up only 5 hits, 1 earned run and struck out 5 batters in that but the main thing everyone noticed was the massive cut on his lip.

In his post game interview, Lauer was asked about the cut stating that during Max Scherzer last start, Lauer tried to talk to him which is something players apparently cannot do which resulted in Scherzer punching him in which he need 6 stitches.

Lauer had a bit of a grin on his face when he was telling the story which has many wondering if Scherzer truly did punch him or not but it certainly is something that many would believe as Scherzer plays very close to the edge on game days.
Clearly the cut did not bother Lauer too much as he was on fire for Toronto last night helping them get the win against the Tigers.
