MLB announces suspension for former Blue Jays all-star
Former Toronto Blue Jays all-star Matt Chapman got involved in a bench clearly argument between the San Francisco Giants and Colorado Rockies which has resulted in the MLB suspending him.
Chapman only spent two season with the Blue Jays in 2022 and 2023 but he had one of the best seasons of his career in his first year in Toronto finishing with 27 homeruns and 76 RBIs in 155 games.

The MLB announced yesterday that they decided to suspend Chapman for pitcher Colorado Rockies pitcher Kyle Freeman during a bench clearing argument between the two teams a couple days ago.
The surprising part in all of this is that Chapman is the only player that has been suspended but he is appealing the decision.

Since Chapman appealed the decision, he was allowed to play yesterday in which he hit a 450 foot homerun on the first pitch he saw.

Since Chapman left in free agency back in 2023, the Blue Jays have struggled to find a solid third baseman to fill his shoes but they look to have finally turned a corner this season with Ernie Clement.
While Clement is not putting up the same type of number at the plate as Chapman he has been consistent and great defensively.
