When asked about all the deferred money, Manfred stated that if he were to be critical about something, it would not be the Dodgers but simply the currently rules since they are not breaking any.
Rob Manfred believes it's a 'a great thing for the game' that the Dodgers work within the rules to put the best possible team on the field.
While some fans are upset that these rules make for an uneven playing field, Manfred does make a solid point since the Dodgers are technically not breaking any MLB rules.
Despite Manfred comments, the league still might see some rules changes as many team do not agree that this is fair and will likely push to have some changes such as a possible salary cap.
