There has been a lot of rumors of the possible return of the Montreal Expos thanks to entrepreneur Ashkan Karbasfrooshan and new details have emerged once again.
Karbasfrooshan recently brought up in an article that he was looking to use the success of his company WatchMojo to possibly bring back the Expos.
New details on the return of the Expos
Bringing the Expos back to Montreal will certainly not a short journey but there certainly is room for a possible return as the MLB has looked at expansions over the past few years.
In a recent post, Karbasfrooshan spoke of the roadmap ahead of him for the possible return in which he detailed looking into ownership framework, stadium district, investor group, community narrative etc.

Fans asked Karbasfrooshan if this was just a publicity stunt to which he answered that no he really is looking into what he can do to bring back the Expos to his home town of Montreal.
Never sought PR personally (which is why people said this came out left field). We are pretty big reach wise. While it's my role to explore all reasonable opportunities, I do NOT waste people's time. In the roadmap, Karbasfrooshan put 203? for the ending date of when he plans on hopefully completing this project which shows that he knows it will take at least 5 years to complete.
While this entire project is very much only at the beginning phase, this could turn into a reality very quickly depending on how things play out.
