The Toronto Blue Jays all-star Bo Bichette will be the main focus for the off-season as he will likely be Ross Atkins biggest priority.
First look at contract extension numbers for Bo Bichette
The
Blue Jays have quite a few players leaving for free agency which the main priority is keeping Bichette as he was one of the Blue Jays best players this season and one of the top free agents available this winter.
According to Sportac, Bichette is expected to sign an 8 year deal for around $186 million this off-season which would pay him an average salary of $23.25 million per season.

8 years $186M
Where is he playing baseball in 2026?
Bichette finished the season with an incredible 181 hits in 2025 to go along with 18 home runs, 94 RBIs, a .311 batting average and .357 on base percentage which is why $23.25 million a year would be an incredible deal.
Fans have already voiced their opinion online that they would love to see the Blue Jays sign him to this deal and move him to second base permanently with how well he played there during the World Series.
Give him that right now and move him to 2nd
The big names on the board often take quite some time to sign in free agency which is why Bichette will probably not be signing any time soon but hopefully Atkins finds a way to make him stay.
