The New York Mets seem to be all in on trying to land Toronto Blue Jays Vladimir Guerrero Jr and a potential trade offer was recently announced.

The Blue Jays ideally want to keep Guerrero but they do not want to raise their offer which has yet to surpass $400 million and if they are unable to close a deal, they will have no choice but to trade him.

A potential trade offer for Blue Jays Vladimir Guerrero Jr has been announced

The Mets are apparently in the process of putting together a trade package for the Blue Jays which would send Guerrero to the Mets but the big question surround what New York will offer them.

One potential offer that was announced thinks the Mets will offer shortstop Jett Williams, third baseman Bretty Baty and first baseman Ryan Clifford in exchange for Guerrero.

Accept or Decline?

A fan was quick to point out that there is no chance that the Blue Jays would trade Guerrero to the Mets if Jesus Baez, Brandon Sproat or Jonah Tong were not included in the deal.

You don't even get a discussion without including Jesus Baez, Brandon Sproat, and Jonah Tong.

If the Blue Jays do end up getting into serious discussions with the Mets about Guerrero if they have not already, they will surely only be willing to trade him for an incredible offer.

Trading Guerrero would crush the fan base but if the two parties are unable to agree on a contract extension they will have no choice because losing him to free agency for nothing in exchange would be much worse.
